The result of the above is that we at Cycling Score have rated WTC Utrecht to be a Gold rated building.
Sustainability, Health, and Wellbeing
The theme that runs throughout the development is sustainability. The thoughtful design includes both technical, environmental and operations features which are all intended to provide the best possible experience for their tenants on both a human and financial level.
Not only is the cycling infrastructure (bike parking,
lockers, showers etc) ‘best in class’ but so will be the engagement with cyclists- there will be an on-site towel and laundry service along with regular Dr Bike sessions provided that we at Cycling Score will organise.
The result of the above is that we at Cycling Score have rated Verde to be a Platinum building. This is an outstanding achievement and really shows the way for other developers who are serious about improving the cycle friendliness of their buildings.
Flexible Office Design
The flexible design of the office environment has a
material impact on staff productivity, wellbeing and
health, with features such as a roof terrace where
people can enjoy lunch or meet colleagues.
Not only is the cycling infrastructure (bike parking, lockers, showers etc) ‘best in class’ but so will be the engagement with cyclists – there will be an on-site laundry service along with regular Dr Bike and cycle training sessions provided that we at Cycling Score will organise.
The result of the above is that we at Cycling Score have rated The Foundry to be a Platinum building. This is an outstanding achievement and really shows how other developers should implement cycling facilities correctly.
Offering a diverse and dynamic public programme of contemporary arts and culture, it is also a home to a large community of creative businesses, artists and makers, including Somerset House Studios. One of the city’s most spectacular and well-loved spaces, it is a place where art and culture is imagined, made and experienced by our 3 million visitors every year.
Despite Somerset House being built well before bicycles were invented, it boasts a very impressive cycling culture with 9% of occupants expected to cycle. Although there is the need for some improvements, it is very evident that a considerable amount of effort has gone into making cycling one of the main methods of transport when visiting Somerset House.
The result of the above is that we at Cycling Score have rated Somerset House to be a Silver rated building and over the next 2 years will work with Somerset House to attain a Gold or Platinum rating next time round.
The building’s design takes inspiration from its heritage and embodies the elegance of a transatlantic 1920s liner, combined with Tom Dixon’s signature modern British style.
Over the past couple of years, Sea Containers House has made a tremendous effort to improve their cycling offering. These efforts include installing 145 new bike spaces and having regular visits from Nip Nip, London’s biggest mobile cycling repair company.
The result of the above is that we at Cycling Score have rated Sea Containers House to be a Gold rated building and over the next 2 years will work with Sea Containers House to attain a Platinum rating next time round.
